- 4 pie crusts
- 2 lb. round steak
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 c. cooking oil
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 1 beef kidney
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1 tsp. dried thyme leaves
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 c. red cooking wine
- 1/4 c. pimiento
Directions

1Prepare pie crusts and refrigerate until ready to use.

2Cut round steak into 2 x 1-inch strips.

3Roll in 1/4 cup flour; shake off excess.

4Brown in cooking oil and butter, turning with tongs until well done on all sides, about 25 minutes.

5Brown only enough meat each time to cover bottom of skillet.
