  • 2 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
  • pepper to taste
  • 2 c. celery, chopped
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 5 carrots, sliced or chopped
  • 1 can (16 to 20 oz.) whole tomatoes
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 c. lentils
  • 10 c. water

Directions

    Cook washed lentils in the 10 cups water for 1 hour.

    Add seasonings and other ingredients.

    Simmer for 1 hour.

    Serve hot with fresh rolls or Italian bread.
