- 1/4 c. oil
- 1 lb. round steak, cut into thin strips
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 green peppers, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
Directions

1Preheat oil in skillet, uncovered, at 325°.

2Add meat and brown.

3Remove to serving dish.

4Add onion and pepper slices to skillet and cool until tender.

5Dissolve cornstarch in water and soy sauce.

6Add sugar, garlic salt and pepper.

7Pour into skillet with vegetables, stirring until sauce is thickened and clear.

8Add meat and cook several minutes longer or until heated through. Serve over hot rice.
