- 1 1/2 lb. beef round steak, cut 1/2-inch thick in one or two pieces or flank steak
- 2 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
- 3 slices bacon, diced
- 1/3 c. chopped pimento stuffed olives
- 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1 Tbsp. capers
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3 Tbsp. melted fat
- 1 tsp. paprika
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Treat beef with instant meat tenderizer following label directions.

2Combine next 6 ingredients; spread on steak.

3Roll up jelly roll fashion; fasten with string.

4Brown in hot fat. Sprinkle with paprika, salt and pepper.

5Add water to cover bottom of pan.

6Cover and simmer 1 1/4 hours.

7Add more water during cooking if necessary.

8Serves 4.
