  • 2 1/2 lb. beef, ground
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. pure ground chili pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. each: sage, thyme and oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. red wine

Directions

    Mix all ingredients together and form into 3-inch patties, 1/4-inch thick.

    Fry these as you would a hamburg patty.
