Ingredients

  • 2 lb. raw beef cubes (do not brown meat first)
  • carrots, cut to suit
  • potatoes, cut to suit
  • onions, cut to suit
  • celery, cut to suit
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 can water
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp. quick-cook tapioca

Directions

    Place beef cubes in baking dish.

    Add chunks of carrots, potatoes, onions and celery.

    Mix together tomato sauce, water and sugar; pour over the meat and vegetables.

    Add salt and pepper to taste.

    Scatter tapioca on top.

    Seal with foil.

    Place in a 325° oven for 2 to 3 hours or set oven at 200° and let cook all day. Can cook in heavy pan.
