Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. stew meat or beef, cut in cubes
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. tomato juice
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 4 large carrots, sliced
  • 1 pkg. frozen peas
  • 1 Tbsp. catsup
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet

Directions

    Combine all ingredients in a heavy pan.

    Cover and bake at 300° for 3 to 3 1/2 hours or at 250° for 3 1/2 to 5 hours. Thicken with 2 tablespoons cornstarch, mixed with 1/2 cup water a few minutes before serving.
