  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. beef broth
  • 3 Tbsp. tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 c. dairy sour cream, blended with 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 6 Tbsp. Burgundy wine (optional)

    Brown ground beef in hot shortening in skillet.

    Put all ingredients in slow cooker.

    Stir thoroughly.

    Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours.
