  • 2 Tbsp. Planters peanut oil
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 medium garlic clove, minced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • big dash of pepper (black)
  • 12 prepared taco shells
  • grated cheese
  • shredded lettuce

Directions

    Heat peanut oil in skillet over medium heat; add ground beef and brown, stirring to break up meat.

    Add onion and garlic; continue cooking until onion is tender.

    Mix in tomato sauce, salt and pepper.

    Heat, stirring occasionally.

    Spoon beef mixture into prepared taco shells.

    Top with cheese and lettuce.

    Makes 12 tacos.
