  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 (1 1/4 oz.) envelope Old El Paso taco seasoning mix
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 2 c. (8 oz.) J. L. Kraft Select shredded sharp natural Cheddar cheese
  • 12 Old El Paso taco shells
  • shredded lettuce
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 (16 oz.) jar Old El Paso taco sauce

Directions

    Brown meat; drain.

    Add onions and garlic; cook until tender. Stir in seasoning mix and water.

    Bring to boil.

    Reduce heat. Simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Add 1 cup cheese; stir until melted.

    Place shells on cookie sheet.

    Bake at 350° for 5 minutes.

    Fill shells with meat mixture.

    Top with lettuce, tomatoes and remaining cheese.

    Serve with sauce.
