  • 6 whole Bratwursts
  • 2 Tablespoons Canola Oil
  • 2 Medium Onions, Sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 1 package (1 1/2 Oz. Size) Demi-Glace Gold Or Similar Demi-glace Mix
  • 2 bottles (12 Oz. Size) Lager

    Heat your grill to medium-high heat then add the brats.

    Grill brats until seared on all sides.

    Remove them from the grill and let them sit.

    Heat the canola oil in a large saute pan over medium heat.

    Then add the onions and saute until translucent.

    Add garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste.

    Add the Demi-Glace Gold and let it melt down a little.

    Add one can/bottle of lager and stir until the demi-glace is all melted and incorporated into the beer sauce.

    Add the second can/bottle of lager at this point and bring to a low boil.

    Return the brats to the sauce and bring back to a low simmer.

    At this point you can place the brats and sauce in a slow cooker and keep on low.

    Serve as is or on a hoagie roll with mustard, hot sauce, relish or any other condiment you like!
