- 3 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. sugar
- shortening
- melted butter
Directions

1Grease 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with shortening.

2Mix ingredients in large bowl.

3Batter will foam up.

4Pour into pan and quickly top with some melted butter.

5Bake in 375° oven for 60 minutes. Serve while warm.
