- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/4 cups flour

1Preheat waffle maker.

2Put butter and sugar into large mixing bowl.

3Cream together on medium low.

4Add vanilla and salt.

5Increase speed to medium.

6Add eggs.

7Mix until smooth.

8Reduce the speed to low.

9Now add the flour.

10Mix well.

11Drop 1/3 cup (75 mL) of dough on each grid.

12Close the waffle maker.

13Bake until golden brown which takes about 2 to 2 1/2 minutes.

14Remove waffle from waffle maker with a non-metal turner to wire rack.
