- 5 granny smith apples, peeled, cored and large diced
- 12 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 14 teaspoon baking powder
- 14 teaspoon baking soda
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup butter, melted
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degree C).

2Peel, core and slice the apples into 1/4 - 1/2 inch pieces and place into a large bowl.

3Add to the bowl with the apples, the 1/2 cup sugar, corn starch and cinnamon.

4Stir until all the apple are coated with the sugar and cinnamon.

5Pour the apples into a 9x9 in baking pan, and pack down a little.
