Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/3 c. Hershey's cocoa
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Grease square 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

3In large mixing bowl, blend melted butter, sugar and vanilla.

4Add eggs.

5Using spoon, beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Gradually blend into egg mixture.

6Stir in nuts, if desired. Spread into prepared pan.

7Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool and cut in squares.
