Ingredients
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. chopped green peppers
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 or 2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans
- 2 (16 oz.) cans cut up tomatoes
- 1 large can tomato paste
- 1 to 2 minced cloves garlic
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. chili powder (optional)
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Saute onion, green pepper and celery.

2Add ground beef and saute until meat is browned and vegetables are tender.

3Drain and add kidney beans.

4Add tomatoes and paste.

5Add garlic, salt and chili powder.

6Cover and simmer 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

7Stir in some of the reserved liquid if you like and make to desired consistency.
