- 1 stick butter (no substitutes)
- 1 c. light karo
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- 1/2 tsp. whiskey
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Dash of salt
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 (9 5/8 inch) deep dish pie crust
Directions

1Brown butter in saucepan until brown (do not burn - it keeps cooking after it starts turning brown).

2Let cool.

3In separate bowl, add ingredients in order.

4Stir.

5Blend in browned butter, stirring well.

6Pour in pie shell and bake at 425° for 10 minutes, then at 325° for 45 minutes or until done.

7This recipe is easily doubled.

8Eat one, freeze one.
