  • 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1 1/2 c. warm (not hot) water
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 5 c. self-rising flour

Directions

    Combine sugar, Crisco, flour and the dissolved yeast.

    Mix thoroughly and cover.

    Set in warm place and let rise to full capacity.

    Punch down.

    Make out rolls and place on Pam sprayed pan.

    Brush with oil or butter.

    Allow to rise 1 hour or more. Bake at 450° until golden brown.
