Ingredients
- 1/4 c. warm water (not hot; 110~ to 115~)
- 1 pkg. Fleischmann's RapidRise yeast
- 3/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. soft shortening
- 3 c. flour (Gold Medal)
Directions

1In bowl, dissolve yeast in water.

2Add milk, sugar, salt, egg, shortening and half of the flour to yeast.

3Mix with spoon until smooth.

4Add remaining flour and mix until smooth.

5Turn dough onto lightly floured working area; knead until smooth (5 minutes). Round up in greased bowl.

6Bring greased side up; cover with Handi-Wrap.

7Let rise in warm place (85°) until double, about 1 1/2 hours.

8Punch down and let rise again until almost double (about 30 minutes).

9Shape dough into rolls.

10Place in greased baking pan and let rise.

11Bake at 450°.
