  • 2 cups Uncooked Whole Wheat Egg Noodles
  • 1/2 whole Yellow Onion, Diced
  • 1/2 pounds Lean Ground Beef
  • 1/4 cups 1% Cottage Cheese
  • 2 ounces, fluid 1/3 Less Fat Philadelphia Cream Cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon Sour Cream
  • 8 ounces, fluid Tomato Sauce
  • 4 ounces, fluid Canned Diced Tomatoes
  • 2 Tablespoons Green Onion, Diced
  • 1/2 cups Green Pepper, Diced
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 dash Garlic Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese

Directions

    Cook egg noodles according to package directions.Omit the salt.

    In a medium skillet, add onions after spraying with cooking spray.

    Saute about 2 minutes and add the ground beef.

    Brown.

    While browning, mix cottage cheese, cream cheese, and sour cream in small bowl, set aside.

    Remove skillet from heat and add sauce, diced tomatoes, green onions, green pepper, garlic, turmeric, garlic salt, black pepper.

    Mix well.

    In a 1.5-qt baking dish, layer half of the noodles, meat mixture, all the cheese, the remaining noodles, meat mixture, and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
