  • 12 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 14 cup crushed walnuts
  • 12 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 14 cup white sugar

    Cream butter and one cup sugar.

    Add effs, one at a time, beating well after each.

    Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and add to mixture along with sour cream.

    Put one-half of batter in a greased pan (a 9x9 inch pan works well).

    Sprinkle one-half of the topping in pan, add the rest of the batter and then sprinkle the rest of the topping over the top.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 175C (350F) until the top is nicely browned, about 30 minutes but keeping checking after 25 minutes.
