- 3/4 cups basmati rice or long grain rice
- 1 1/2 cup water less 2 tb
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 x salt to taste
- 1 x saffron threads a few threads
Directions

1Wash rice and put in a small saucepan with all above ingredients.

2Bring it to a boil on high heat, then cover and simmer gently until all the water is absorbed.

3The grains should be tender but firm.

4Set aside uncovered.
