- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. oil
- 2 eggs
- 1/2-1 c. nuts, chopped
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. anise, optional
- 1 tsp. amaretto, optional
- 1 tsp. almond flavoring, optional
Directions

1Blend sugar and oil.

2Add eggs and vanilla; stir well. Stir together salt, baking powder and flour.

3Fold into wet mixture. Add nuts.

4Shape into 2 logs on lined cookie sheet.

5Bake 18 to 20 minutes at 350°.

6Remove and cool 15 minutes.

7Slice into 1/2 inch thick pieces.

8Place on cookie sheet and cook on each side for 10 minutes at 325°.

9Can be dipped into melted chocolate.
