  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. bacon grease

Directions

    Put flour in bowl.

    Cut shortening into flour real fine.

    Add milk until flour is doughy.

    Mix until all clings together in ball, handling lightly as possible.

    Roll out; cut into biscuits. Put bacon grease in biscuit pan and grease both sides of biscuits. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes, or until lightly browned.
