- 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 c. soft shortening or cooking oil
Directions

1Sift together dry ingredients.

2Stir in shortening.

3Stir in milk and yeast.

4Mix well.

5Chill at least 1 hour.

6(Can leave overnight in refrigerator.)

7Roll out and let rise.

8Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
