  • 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3/4 c. milk

    Preheat oven to 425°. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in bowl. Cut in Crisco using pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add milk. Stir with fork until blended. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface. Knead gently 8 to 10 times. Roll dough 1/2-inch thick. Cut with floured 2-inch round cutter. Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes.
