- 2 c. self-rising flour (lightly spooned into cup)
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 2/3 c. milk
Directions

1In large bowl, cut shortening into flour; add milk.

2Stir with fork to form soft dough.

3One to three tablespoons additional milk may be added to achieve desired consistency.

4Turn onto floured surface; gently knead.

5Roll out 1/2-inch thick.

6Cut with 2-inch floured cutter.

7Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

8Bake at 425° to 450° for 8 to 12 minutes.

9Makes 10 to 12 biscuits.
