- 2 lb. pork butt with 1 lb. pork spareribs, both cut in 1 1/2-inch pieces
- 2 Tbsp. black beans (Dau see)
- 2 Tbsp. shoyu
- 1 small piece ginger, chopped fine
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 clove garlic
Directions

1Heat pot.

2Add garlic and ginger.

3Brown pork and spareribs. Wash black beans slightly and then mash fine.

4Combine with the remaining ingredients and pour over spareribs; mix thoroughly. Simmer for 1 hour until tender.
