- 1 pkg. black beans
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 1/2 medium green pepper, chopped
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 Tbsp. garlic powder or 3 large garlic cloves, crushed
- 4 to 5 tsp. olive oil or cooking oil
- 3 medium bay leaves
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Rinse beans with water and pick out bad beans and dirt.

2Soak beans in water 2 to 3 hours or overnight.

3Saute onions and green pepper in oil.

4Add garlic and oregano.

5Set aside while cooking beans.

6Put beans and cup of water in pressure cooker.

7Add salt and pepper.

8Cook 1 hour at medium heat.

9When beans are soft, add sauteed mixture.
