Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 unbeaten egg
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/3 c. cooking oil
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla

Directions

    Combine the first 3 ingredients and add the egg and chocolate chips. Set aside.

    Mix together the flour, cocoa, sugar and salt; set aside.

    Mix together the water, oil, vinegar and vanilla and add to dry ingredients.

    Beat until smooth. Fill paper cups 1/3 full of batter. Top each with a heaping teaspoonful of the cream cheese mixture.

    Sprinkle top with sugar and chopped nuts. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
