Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chocolate chips

Directions

    Mix together the first 9 ingredients.

    Then in separate bowl, beat cream cheese, egg, sugar and salt until creamy.

    Add chocolate chips and mix thoroughly.

    Fill miniature muffin cups 1/2 full of cake mixture.

    Top with 1 teaspoon of cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle chopped nuts over top.

    Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350°. Yields about 50.
