- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. cocoa
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. oil
- 2/3 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. water
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2In a medium mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, egg, 1/3 cup sugar and salt with an electric mixer.

3Stir in chocolate chips; set aside.

4In another bowl combine flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar, cocoa, baking soda, salt and water.

5Next, mix oil, vinegar and vanilla.

6Add to flour mixture.

7Fill cupcake papers 1/2 full with cocoa batter.

8Place 1 teaspoonful cream cheese mixture in center of each cupcake and bake 15 to 20 minutes.

9No frosting is needed.
