  • 1 pie shell (unbaked; regular)
  • 1 stick softened margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. chopped black walnuts

Directions

    Beat butter and sugar in bowl. Add flour, salt, egg yolks and milk; beat with mixer until well mixed. Stir in vanilla and walnuts. Pour mixture into chilled pie shell. Bake on lower shelf of 375° oven for 45 minutes, until center is almost set but still soft. Cool thoroughly on wire rack.
