- 3 c. sugar
- 3 c. plain flour
- 2/3 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. Crisco
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. sweet milk
- 6 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. black walnut flavoring
- 1 c. finely chopped or ground walnuts (may use black or English)
Directions

1Cream butter, Crisco and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.

3Combine flours and add alternately with milk, being sure last addition is flour.

4Add flavorings.

5Beat, then stir in nuts.

6Bake in preheated oven at 300° for 1 1/2 hours.
