- 4 eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 2 3/4 c. flour
- 1 quart blackberry jam
- 1/2 pound butter or margarine
- cinnamon to taste
- all spice to taste
- clove to taste
- 1 box confectioner's sugar
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Add milk, flour, butter, blackberry jam, cinnamon, all spice, and cloves.

3Mix until well blended.

4Bake in 6 or 7 thin layers at 350°.

5Let cool.

6Add frosting.

7Mix 1 box of Confectioner's sugar and milk until smooth. Then spread over each layer of the cake.
