  • 2 -3 fresh tuna filets, cubed
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • hot oil (for deep frying)
  • 1 teaspoon ground basil
  • 1 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

    In a bowl, soak the tuna in the egg for about 10 minutes.

    Separately, thoroughly mix the Spice ingredients and then pour the Spice mix into the bowl and make sure that all the chunks of tuna are generously coated.

    Place the tuna in a deep fryer for 3-4 minutes and immediately serve hot with tartar sauce.
