- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Grease 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.

3Combine butter and milk in saucepan.

4Place on low heat until butter melts. Remove from heat.

5Stir in sugar; add egg.

6Stir until blended. Combine flour, baking powder and salt.

7Stir into sugar mixture. Stir in vanilla and nuts.

8Spread into pan.

9Bake at 350° for 27 to 30 minutes or until pick inserted comes out clean.

10Cool in pan.

11Cut in squares.
