Blueberry Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 cups molasses
  • 2 heaping tsp. baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 quart blueberries

Directions

    Mix all ingredients together with electric mixer until smooth, reserving blueberries.

    You must fold in the blueberries by hand to avoid breaking them.

    Spoon onto cookie sheets 1/2 cup size pancakes.

    Leave plenty of space between, approx. 6 per pan. Bake 375 degrees 12-14 minutes.

    They are done when the middle springs back when touched.
