  • 1/2 c. soft shortening
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 1/4 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 2 c. blueberries

Directions

    Cream the shortening, eggs and sugar until well blended.

    Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk.

    Blend in the blueberries.

    Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes at 350°.
