Blueberry Pudding

  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. blueberries

Directions

    Cream shortening, sugar and egg together.

    Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt.

    Reserve 1/4 cup to flour blueberries. Add the remainder alternately with milk to the first mixture. Beat thoroughly.

    Stir in berries.

    Pour into a greased shallow pan and bake in a 350° oven for 40 to 45 minutes.

    Cut in squares and serve hot.
