- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. stick margarine
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
- powdered sugar
Directions

1Sprinkle yeast over water.

2Sprinkle 1 teaspoon sugar over yeast.

3Let stand 10 minutes for yeast to soften and form.

4In large bowl, mix flour and salt.

5Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse meal.

6Stir in egg yolks and yeast mixture; mix until a smooth ball is formed.
