- 3 qt. milk
- 8 whole eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Heat milk until it's too hot to stick your finger into (do not let it boil).

2Beat eggs and sugar together until foamy.

3Pour quickly into hot milk, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and will coat a spoon about 20 to 25 minutes.

4Remove from heat and add vanilla.

5Cool and refrigerate.

6The custard will get thicker as it cooks.
