- 1 gal. whole milk
- 3 c. sugar
- 8 eggs, separated
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
Directions

1Heat milk in double boiler.

2In a large mixing bowl, beat egg yolks and sugar. Beat egg whites and add gradually to yolk and sugar mix.

3Beat thoroughly. Add about 3 cups of milk to mixture. Beat. Add to hot milk.

4Cook and stir until foam disappears or mixture thickens (this will take quite a while). Add flavoring after removing from heat.

5Refrigerate.

6Recipe may be halved.
