- 1/2 tsp. salt

1If time allows bring refrigerated eggs to room temperature. Place eggs in cold water with approximately 1/2 teaspoon salt per egg.

2Turn heat between low and medium and go do something else for 20 minutes or so.

3Air bubbles can be seen coming from the eggs. If heated too rapidly it will break the egg.

4When bubbles stop, turn the heat up and bring to a boil.

5Boil 3 to 4 minutes; turn off heat.

6Let stand 10 minutes or so.

7Rinse in cold water.
