  • 1 c. lard or butter
  • 2 tsp. cloves
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking soda

    Place sugar, water, raisins, butter, cloves, cinnamon and salt in a stew pan and let boil.
