- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 1/4 c. boiling water
- 2 c. unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Place shortening and milk in a large heatproof bowl.

2Pour in boiling water and whisk until mixture is the consistency of heavy cream.

3In a medium bowl, mix together flour and salt.

4Add to shortening mixture.

5Mix with a wooden spoon just until dough forms a ball.

6Refrigerate before rolling out.

7Makes 1 double crust (8 servings).
