- 2 lb. pinto beans
- salt pork
- 1 bundle cilantro, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 2 or 3 Serrano or jalapeno peppers, sliced (optional)
- 1 beer
- 1 lb. bacon
Directions

1Cook beans with salt pork until tender (3 to 4 hours approximately).

2Fry bacon, onion and tomato.

3Add to cooked beans.

4Add hot peppers, cilantro and beer.

5Boil 15 to 20 minutes.
