  • 3 lb. meaty beef shank
  • 8 to 10 beets, shredded
  • 1/2 head red cabbage, shredded
  • 1 c. onion, diced
  • 1 c. carrots, shredded
  • 1 c. potatoes, shredded (optional)
  • dry dill to taste (about 1 tsp.)
  • 2 toes garlic, crushed

Directions

    Cook beef shank down. Discard bone; dice meat. Add beets, cabbage, onion, carrots, potatoes, dill and garlic. Add salt and pepper to taste.
