- 1 lb. beef tips
- 1 smoked pork hock
- 4 c. water
- 1 can beef broth
- salt and pepper
- 1 can beets, chopped
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 clove garlic, minced
- 2 potatoes, cubed
- 3 c. shredded cabbage
- 2 tsp. dill seed
- 1 Tbsp. pickling spice
- 1/4 c. red wine vinegar
- 3/4 c. sour cream
Directions

1Heat beef, pork, water, broth, salt and pepper for 1 1/2 hours.

2Debone pork.

3Put beef, pork, onion, garlic, potatoes and cabbage in soup.

4Tie dill seed and pickling spice in cheesecloth; add to soup.

5Simmer about 2 hours.

6Stir in vinegar; remove spice ball.

7Serve sour cream on top of soup.
