- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut in pieces
- 3 tablespoons cold vegetable shortening
- 3 tablespoons ice water
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
- 13 cup melted unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoon bourbon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Directions

1To make the crust: Place flour, sugar and salt in the work bowl of a food processor.

2Pulse just to combine.

3Add butter and shortening.

4Pulse until mixture resembles coarse meal.

5With machine running, slowly pour in water.

6Process just until mixture begins to come together.

7Gently press dough into a ball.

8Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

9On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to fit a 9-inch pie plate.

10Place dough in pie plate.

11Trim and crimp edges.

12To make the filling, preheat oven to 375 degrees.

13Whisk together the eggs, sugar, corn syrups, butter, bourbon and salt.

14Place the pecans in the bottom of the pie plate.

15Pour the filling over the pecans.

16Bake until set, about 35 to 40 minutes.
